MashTactic was initially designed as a mashup tool. It can separate different parts of a full mix, manipulating different frequencies and stereo location. Up to eight zones can be created that can then be panned, emphasised or cut out completely.
BIG AL is a dual-stage tube saturator that offers a broad palette of marvelous sound flavors flowing from the interactive network within its transformer-coupled pre and power amp. Based on completely novel circuitry and authentic NOS components from the 1930s, the one-off analog hardware has been exclusively designed for this plugin.
This amazing plugin pays tribute to the tape delays that changed the way music sounded forever. From the early EchoSonic pioneered by Ray Butts, Mike Battle’s Echoplex, to Ikutaro Kakehashi’s masterful Echo Chamber series, tape delays gave guitarists and organ players a new, exciting tool to use on stage and in the studio. Hearing this fluttering golden tone, it wasn’t long before studios, recording engineers, and producers wanted to make it part of their signature sounds. In 1974, the music world was taken by storm, or rather, by space. An updated version of Kakehashi’s design, this time using standard 1/4″ tape in a continuous, loose loop, and no reels, became the go-to favorite for musicians and producers. Finally, floaty, magic echo in a self-contained, reliable unit. It didn’t just sound great, it was versatile too. It had multiple delay patterns to create different rhythmic feels, EQ control to hone the delay’s tone, an integrated spring reverb, and – most famously of all – adjustable tape speed, letting it create otherworldly, haunting pitch changes in the delay. Through the magic of our advanced TAE® modelling technology, we are able to perfectly emulate this groundbreaking delay as a plug-in. All of this magic, all of these quirks, and all of this legendary tone are recreated in Delay TAPE-201.
In 1987, Jim Marshall celebrated 25 years as a guitar amp manufacturer with the very limited release of the Silver Jubilee series of amps. The Silver Jubilee 2555 amp became a big hit among high-profile rock guitarists and quickly became a rare collectors piece. When Eric Clapton used the Marshall Model 1962 on the John Mayall & The Blues Breakers self-titled album in 1966, the performance in combination with this amp was such a distinctive contribution to music history that the amp came to be known as the “Bluesbreaker”. The Bluesbreaker’s amp section is warm and crunchy, and the use of alnico speakers in an open back cabinet adds an unusually chimey and three-dimensional sound for a Marshall, which has contributed to its status as a genuine workhorse far outside of the blues genre too. The Marshall JMP 2203 was introduced in 1975. It quickly replaced the Plexi as the go-to Marshall amp and became the amp against which all other rock amps were compared. Artists who used it included Jeff Beck, Andy Summers, Tom Morello, AC/DC, Mötley Crüe, Judas Priest, Slayer, the Pixies, and more.
