We recorded tambourines of various shapes from professional to karaoke models, each one very carefully. The number of tambourines is increased 8 times compared with version 1, with about four times the playing methods, and the new version also features improved operability. Sample recording emplied a Solid State Logic console and a variety of microphones, with 19GB worth of recording at 96kHz/32bits in ProtoolsHD. We then sorted and compressed the sounds, and the initial release is equipped with two microphones (SENNHEISER MD441U Mono and SHURE 58 Stereo). With the 2 patches, it amounts to approximately 280MB. Further samples will be added for each microphone in future updates.
Tamb-Master2 has realized a version upgrade worthy of the name “tambourine sound source.” First, please try the feature-limited free version with two types of tambourines recorded.
From playing method list
Percuss (hand, stick), shake, decorative playing, roll (hand, stick) open rim shot (stick), rim shot (stick)
Tamb-Master2 adds a new MIDI browser tab.
It is not necessary to enter a pattern newly from scratch on this screen. Instead, it is possible to instantaneously add various MIDI patterns into DAW via drag-and-drop.
* Planned to be introduced in the next update.
The Auto Groove feature present in the first version of Tamb-Master has also been upgraded. This feature allows one to play the tambourine pressing only a single key. Of course, you can play following the tempo. You can register up to 16 of your favorite patterns.
