The Drop is an analog modeled resonant filter plug-in. It uses the same high quality algorithms used in circuit simulation packages but optimised for real time use. There is a huge level of detail in the models, which gives them amazing drive and tone. As well as the detailed circuit models more efficient algorithms are included for situations where CPU considerations are more important than tone, but even these models are of the highest quality.

Circuit Modelling and DSP
The same circuit modelling techniques that are used in professional circuit simulation packages but optimised for real time use. The structure including all feedback loops and useful non-linearities of the original circuit has been preserved. The algorithm uses actual values for resistors, capacitors, diodes, transistors and other circuit components. The voltages and currents are solved in real time and match as closely as possible to the analog circuit in both the time and frequency domains.
