ME Loudness Maximizer, ME Spectralizer, ME FreeFilter, ME Compressor, ME PhaseScope and ME SpectroGraph
Every recording deserves to be mastered. Without mastering, a mix can sound dull and lifeless. Single tracks sometimes do not fit together with other tracks because of differences in the dynamics or the frequency characteristics. The Steinberg Mastering Edition is a set of six high-quality plug-ins for various VST- and DirectX-based host audio applications, which together satisfy all your mastering effect needs. Whatever the situation, the Steinberg Mastering Edition offers the tools needed – in the quality you expect of Steinberg Spectral Design audio software.
Harmonic Maximizer is a multi-band exciter and loudness shaping plugin that will make your tracks powerful and more alive.

SLM2 is a smart stereo loudness maximizer including “analog spice” and 16x over-sampling. The goal of the design was to maximize the loudness of the audio signal while maintaining transparency. The SLM2 DSP analyses every sample of the incoming stereo signal within a defined time frame and calculates the optimal volume increase. This guarantees maximum possible transparency. The overall loudness can be further increased by the following, optional clipper stage. Signal aliasing can be reduced by enabling over-sampling.
Maximal 2 is a loudness maximiser, featuring an advanced lookahead peak limiter and analogue modelled saturation. The multi-stage limiter section features next-level lookahead, automatic makeup gain, and adaptive and responsive release. This plugin will smoothly limit any peaks in the audio, and automatically increase the overall level. The analogue modelled tape and tube saturation modes encompass all the best parts of the analogue world, without all the bad parts – such as high-frequency roll-off, hiss, wow and flutter. Using our adaptive release technology, you can simply tell Maximal 2 whether you want the limiter to be fast and loud, or slow and transparent, and it will do what’s needed inside. You can use Maximal 2 to catch rampant peaks in an audio recording, or you can use it to make your track phat and loud – it’s up to you how you push it.
