Her most notable work as a singer includes a featuring on Dubba Jonny’s EP and an appearance on the album of the legendary Cypress Hill-producer DJ Muggs.
RomyHarmony, born in Finland -83, has always been keen on music, writing and performing. She was singing for a while in a choir already at the age of eight and wrote her first song at the age of ten. Singing then became an active hobby in 1997, at the age of 14, when she rejoined the choir, singing soprano and later alto. In 2000 she joined a local electro-industrial band, in which she sang lead- and backing vocals for five years, followed by singing cover songs with a rock band for the next couple of years, and polishing the vocal technique with a private tutor for a stronger performance.
Finally in 2011 she returned to her biggest passion; electronic music. Since then she has been working as a solo artist and collaborating with EDM-producers worldwide. She has been featured on several releases through different labels, including one of the EDM-label giants, Ultra Music.
At the end of 2012 she began composing her own songs as well. The style of music could be described as New Age Electro. The productions are an enchanting combination of different electronic elements, mixed with orchestral, ethnic and new age flavors and complemented with sultry vocals.
Romy’s debut EP “Reflections” came out 28.8.2013 as an independent release.
The production, lyrics and vocals on the EP are all Romy’s own work, but she also has a guest guitarist and drummer featured on one of the tracks. The drums on “Reflections (electro-acoustic remix)” were played by none other than the talented drummer of Infected Mushroom, Rogerio Jardim.
