Blocks is a new framework that turns REAKTOR 6 into a fully-equipped, rack-style modular synth. Over 30 Blocks “ including oscillators, filters, effects, modulators, and sequencers â€“ come with REAKTOR 6. Among these Blocks are components from acclaimed NI synths such as ROUNDS and MONARK “ all you need to start creating elaborate modular synth patches. Native Instruments has announced the release of the free Reaktor Blocks 1.2 update, adding major improvements for integrating hardware into Reaktor-based setups. The update adds three new utilities, as well as introducing a Maschine sequencer and a set of eight drum modules designed to recreate the sound of a legendary drum machine. Coinciding with the release is a new series of tutorials demonstrating Blocks integration.

The Blocks 1.3 update introduces a brand new family of Blocks: Kodiak. These five forward-thinking blocks are designed around a cool, contemporary aesthetic, where the sleek visual design hints at the sound within. The modules go beyond the capabilities of analog, whilst retaining the fun and free-patching of modular.
The update will be available free to all REAKTOR 6 owners in Spring 2017.
